What a fantastic day to finish a brilliant weeks skiing. All pupils were assessed this morning for their certificates and then out for a last bit of fun on the slopes this afternoon. Groups ventured over the valley to La Masse and skied down some amazing reds while some continued to explore and find new challenges and jumps on Monte La Chambre. Here are some photos and experiences from today!
We are up and running again with Wifi. Another great days skiing and another hot day. Everyone has now ventured around most of the mountain and encountered jumps and deep snow, some unexpectantly!! We can’t belive we have only one day left of skiing before heading home. Please see some of the footage from today.
Apres ski tonight was Battle of the Bands. All pupils from Lindesfarne, Belford and Meadowdale were mixed into groups and given 30 minutes and a lot of junk to create a band, song and entertain the crowd. Everyone did a fantastic job and definitely entertained!! Here are some pictures!
Another good days skiing. More adventures and more mountain covered today. The weather was cooler but that was a nice break from the hot sun that we have had over the last few days. Everyone is doing really well with their skiing and all are being challenged and making fantastic progress. Here is some more photos and video.
A hilarious end to a great day with Les Menuires Winter Olympics. We all raced in teams on the snow against our friends and foes from Lindisfarne and Belford middle schools and ended the fun with hot chocolate in the dining room. Wheelbarrow racing, piggy back racing and pole spinning got every one into a fun, competitive mood. This was definitely an activity for you Mrs Dawson!
We have all had a great day skiing. Everyone is now out on the mountain exploring the piests and terrains. The experienced skiers had good fun on on the speed traps, ski park, and board cross tracks in the morning and the intermediates explored the scary heights of the mountain.
Please see some of the attached videos of day 2 skiing and some impressive skills.
Everyone has had a great first day skiing in Les Menuires. A few falls with style and a couple of collisions but everyone is fine. It has been really warm and sunny and the snow is excellent. Everyone has made great progress and has been allocated ski groups for the start of day 2. The food is very good in the hotel and all have enjoyed getting to know the other pupils from Lindisfarne and Belford Middle schools.
We we have been out bum boarding, racing down the hill this evening with a busy day of activities tommorow. Here are some photos from today!
